Bits and Pieces are exactly what the name suggests: elements from my studio that are not finished artworks, but components I made or collected for my work and no longer need. These are useful, well-made, often one-of-a-kind pieces that deserve to keep working—just not in my studio anymore.
Everything here falls into one of three categories: Excess, Remnants, and Studio Purge.
Excess pieces are elements created for a larger artwork where more were made than ultimately required. The remaining pieces are complete, intentional elements—simply extras.
Remnants are pieces cut away from elements I used. They may be portions of finished elements or by-products of materials used to create them. Still solid pieces, just no longer needed once the larger work was complete.
Studio Purge is exactly that: materials and objects I no longer work with. Things that once felt essential but no longer belong in the work I’m making now. Some still carry a trace of sentiment, but sentiment alone isn’t enough to keep them in the studio.
The items listed here were right for the artist I was, not the artist I am today. They may be exactly right for your studio, even as I move in a different direction.
This section includes several categories—take a look around.
All items are one-of-a-kind or limited in quantity. Once sold, they will not be restocked, recreated, or reproduced.
